Amelia Franco

Services for Amelia Franco, 87, of Brownfield will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Kochuparambil officiating.

Rosary will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday, January 6, 2020, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Amelia was born on October 06, 1932, in Karnes City to Pedro and Cleotilde Longoria. She was a kind, loving and compassionate mother, grandmother and godmother. Amelia had a very competitive spirit, but yet she was a godly woman who was there for you in your time of need. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, playing bingo and attending garage sales.

Amelia is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Cleotilde Longoria; 2 daughters, Rita Franco and Rosa Corral; 2 sons, Raul Franco and Rosendo Franco; 2 granddaughters, Debbie Briseno and Stephanie Sanchez; 3 grandsons, Luis Guerra, David Franco, and Albert Guerra, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Hilary Flores and 3 brothers, Benito Longoria, Adan Longoria, and Ricardo Villarreal.

Amelia is survived by her son, Rene Franco; 4 daughters, Rita Mesquias, Rachel Guerra and husband Albert, Ramona Franco, and Martha Broome and husband Gary; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Franco; 39 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
