Services for Bertha Hancock, 95, of Brownfield will be at 1pm, Monday, November 22, 2010 at Brownfield First Christian Church with Rev. Ken Reeder officiating. Burial will be in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Bertha passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 in Lubbock. She was born January 25, 1915 in Stanton to Samuel and Fearl Burkham. She married Hoy Evert Hancock on October 27, 1932 in Nacogdoches. He preceded her in death in 1985. She is also preceded in death by a son, Donald Hancock; 2 sisters and a brother.
Bertha is survived by a son, Kenneth Hancock and wife Sammie of Lubbock; a daughter, Patsy Sims and husband Larry of Brownfield; a daughter-in-law, Anita Hancock of Brownfield; 9 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; a brother, A.C. Burkham of Carlsbad, NM; 2 sisters, Velma Skinner of Lubbock and Tommy Weisz of Midland.
