Billie Nell Boyd

Services for Billie Nell Boyd, 79, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Billie passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Lubbock. She was born December 23, 1933 to William Dewey and Anne Dawn (Campbell) Runnels. She graduated from Meadow High School in 1952. Billie married Ace Boyd on February 11, 1953 in Brownfield. She graduated from Le Salle University. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christina Boyd in 2007.

Billie is survived by her husband Ace Boyd of Brownfield; her children, Dawn Sorbo and husband Louis of Yellville, AR and Scott Boyd of Brownfield; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Sorbo and wife Christine of East Haven, CT and Ryan Boyd of Crosbyton; a sister, Pat Moses of Slaton; a brother, John Runnels of Levelland.
