Bobby Davis

Bobby Don Davis, 79, went home to the Lord on June 15, 2017 in Brownfield, TX. Born Nov. 12, 1938 in Quanah, TX, he was the son of Edmond Claude Davis and Alma Onetta (Mooney) Davis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Arneitha White and had children Onetta Lee, Cynthia Ann, Eddie Leeroy and Linda Louise. He then married Barbara (Wilson) Manly and had a son, Donald. He was married to Martha Ann (Everett) Moon until her death in 2007. He worked for Meers Oil Co. for 25 years. He was an assistant pastor at Open Door Church of God in Christ and New Hope Baptist Church before becoming the pastor of Progressive Church for 13 years. He was a long-time resident of Pampa, TX before coming to Brownfield in April 2017.

He is survived by three children, two step-children, Ronald and Karen Moon, 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on June 27, 2017 at Carpenter's Church, 639 S. Barnes St., Pampa, TX.
