Clara Doris Davis, 90, of Brownfield passed away on Tuesday morning, December 28, 2010 at home. Services will be held Friday at1:00 P.M. at the Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel in Brownfield, Texas with Dr. Carol Moman officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Cemetery in Post.
Doris was born June 17, 1920, in Post to A.C and Bama Howell. She graduated from Post High School and attended Texas Tech. She graduated with a degree in education and went on to teach in Post and Brownfield School districts before retiring in 1970. Doris married Sol Davis on June 26, 1942 in Lubbock.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband Sol Davis, brothers: Lonny, Arb, Byron, Connor and Dee Howell, sisters: Loretta, Lenis and Lois and her parents.
Doris is survived by two sons: Keith Davis of Brownfield and Biff Davis of Amarillo. One daughter: Susan Hartis of Lubbock. She had eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
