Clifford Thomas Parker

Graveside services for Clifford Thomas Parker, 91, of Brownfield will be at 2pm, Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, Oklahoma with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Clifford passed away June 13, 2011 in Littlefield. He was born on August 26, 1919 in Davis, OK to Lindsey and Gertrude Parker. He married Edith Maxine Skelton on January 12, 1946 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2009. He was a U.S. Army Veteran fighting in North Africa and on into Italy, where he received a Silver Star for capturing armored German vehicles and enemy soldiers. He also was awarded the Croix de Guerre Medal and several campaign medals. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Brownfield, TX.

Clifford is survived by a brother, Charles Parker of Victorville, CA; a sister, Louise Schultz of Kansas City, MO; 2 nephews, Burl Pittman of Canadian, TX and Benny Johanson of Clairmore, OK; 4 nieces, Carol Talley of Owasso, OK, Patsy Price of Tulsa, OK, Lou Ann Bailey of Berryhill, OK and Nelda Blackwell of Littlefield, TX.
