Cody Lee Hopkins, 40, of Brownfield, passed away on January 31, 2025. His family and friends will memorialize his life at a later date. Cremation services are under the care of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Cody was born on January 15, 1985, in Joshua, Texas, to his mom, Rhonda Hopkins Rosas. Raised by his loving grandparents, Arnold and Barbara Hopkins--whom he affectionately called "Mom" and "Paw Paw"-Cody was a sweet, loving guy who always tried to find something good in any situation. He would often go out of his way to lend a helping hand whenever he could.
Cody enjoyed a simple life, devoting much of his time to his favorite pastimes. He had a passion for fishing and a love for video games, especially titles like Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty. When he wasn't gaming, you could find him jamming out to heavy metal music, lost in the rhythm of his favorite bands.
In addition to his hobbies, Cody shared his life with a pack of furry companions. His Great Pyrenees, Casper, was his steadfast buddy, accompanied by two other loving dogs, Precious and Goliath. He also had a special bond with his four cats, who always wanted to be near him.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnold and Barbara Hopkins; his mother, Rhonda Hopkins Rosas; and his sister, Vanessa Rosas.
Cody is survived by his first wife and mother of his children, Kyeisha Galindo; his three children, Brea'ja, Robert, and Winter Hopkins; his girlfriend of seven years, Lacrisha Bingham, and her two children, Jacob and Ali Bingham; and his brother, Albert Hopkins.
