Funeral Services for Cruz S. Perez will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home with Rosary at 6 pm.

Cruz was a loving and nurturing mother to all of her children. They were the center of her world, and she poured her heart and soul into their lives. As a grandmother, Cruz adored her grandchildren. She cherished the moments spent with them and embraced the role of spoiling them with unconditional love and support.

A woman of deep faith, Cruz was grounded in her relationship with the Lord. She taught her children the importance of trust in God and the power of prayer in all situations.

Sports held a special place in Cruz's heart, particularly football. She passionately supported and rooted for her favorite teams, including the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Green Bay Packers. Gathering with loved ones to watch the games brought her immense joy and created cherished memories of shared enthusiasm.

Cruz was a great cook and especially enjoyed barbecue, brisket, and fried chicken from United, savoring every bite. Her appreciation for good food reflected her warm and comforting nature, as she often showed her affection through homemade meals and family gatherings.

Cruz was preceded in death by her husband, Cipriano Perez; son, Maclovio Perez; grandchildren, Cruzita Gomez, Robert Gomez, Jr., Jeremy Perez, Jason Perez, Baby Josh Guzman, Jesse Pauda, Jr.; parents, Cecilio and Carlota Suarez and 2 siblings. 

Cruz is survived by her children, Charlotte Pauda and husband Jesse, Lydia Martinez, Sip Perez and wife Mercedes, Irma Ramirez and husband Antonio, Joe Perez and wife Betty, Susie Perez, Isabel Chavez and husband Abel, Jane Perez, David Perez and wife Anabel, 55 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
