Curtis "Curt" Wayne McGeath was born in Clovis, NM on March 29, 1972, to Ivy "Butch" McGeath and Sandra (Hunt) McGeath. He passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 52.
He was a curious soul, always eager to learn and share his knowledge. Curt's interests included hunting, fishing, and working with his tools in his workshop. His adventurous spirit allowed him to enjoy both the thrill of riding a motorcycle and the simple pleasure of flying a kite. During Curt's time in Ruidoso, he loved to feed the deer out of his hands. His family nicknamed him "the deer whisperer." He also enjoyed being outside and riding the four-wheeler in the mountains.
One of Curt's favorite pastimes was playing jokes on people and seeing the reactions he could evoke. At Christmas time, Curt would wrap up your phone or give you an empty bubblegum wrapper as a gift. He had a mischievous spirit and loved to scare his friends and family in good fun. Curt also had a deep love for horses and the mountains, finding solace and peace in their beauty. His beloved dog, Ginger, always brought him joy and constant companionship.
Curt is preceded in death by his father, Butch McGeath; and a sister, Toni McGeath. He is survived by his mother, Sandra McGeath; wife, Brenda McGeath; daughter, Tori Clark; granddaughter, Stella Clark; 2 sisters, Paula Bowers and Tammy Wilcox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
