Graveside services for Daniel Lee Neal “Paw Paw”, 77, of Brownfield will be held at 10am Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with his nephew, Terry Chrestman, officiating and Bob Reynolds assisting.
There will be a family visitation from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Dan was born December 30, 1938 to Archer Everett and Dovie Lee Neal in Crosby County. He graduated from Wellman High School in 1957. Dan married Mary Lou Adair on February 10, 1960 in Seminole. Dan was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a hardworking farmer and later owned the Wellman Grocery and Grill until his retirement. After retirement he enjoyed camping, gardening, working puzzles and most of all his friends joining him for coffee early in the morning in his man cave. He is preceded in death by his parents, Archer and Dovie Neal, two brothers, and three sisters.
Dan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Neal of Brownfield; son, Danny Neal and wife Kim of Alaska; three daughters, Kathy DePrang and husband, Dwain, of Highland Village, Treshia Bullock and husband, Casey, of Plainfield, IL, Kellie Prescott and husband, David, of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to the Children’s Home of Lubbock or the New Mexico Christian Children’s Home in Portales, NM.
