Brownfield

Graveside service for Daymond Clifton Brock, 89, of Brownfield will be held at 10 am Friday, August 5, 2022, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Bo Shero officiating, under the care of Brownfield Funeral Home.

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Daymond Brock on August 2, 2022.

Daymond was born in Rising Star, TX on October 16, 1932, to John Benjamin Lafayette Brock and Annie Belle Rollins Brock. He met the love of his life, Virginia Ione Brock while attending school in Denver City and was known as "Gunner" for scoring 6 touchdowns in 1 game and his athletic speed. Daymond proudly made Virginia his wife and held her hand in marriage for 71 years.

Daymond loved the Lord and was a faithful servant of Christ. Both he and Gina were proud members of the Brownfield Church of Christ.

Daymond was a dedicated husband and father, who put family above himself. He went to work for Honolulu Oil Company in the early 1950's, and after almost 40 years in the oil field, he retired from Amoco Oil Company. In his retirement years he was known for his handcrafted jewelry and metal work.

Daymond is survived by his wife, Virginia Brock; his son Michael Brock & (Mary); Dayna King & (Kyle); Scott Brock & (Roberta) and preceded in death by his son David Brock & (living wife, Lynette). He took great pride in being a grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Daymond was a Godly and compassionate man that left this great legacy by setting the example to all that knew him. We look forward to the day we will be reunited with him in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brownfield Church of Christ Building Fund or Lubbock Children's Home.
