Dennis McCutcheon

Services for Dennis Garland McCutcheon, 74, of Brownfield will be 2pm, Friday, September 14, 2012 at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds and Bo Shero officiating. Burial will be prior to the service at 11am, in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

There will be a family visitation at Brownfield Funeral Home from 5-7pm, Thursday.

Dennis passed away at his home in Brownfield on Monday, September 10, 2012. He was born December 21, 1937 in Brownfield to Elmer A. and IdaBelle (Jordan) McCutcheon. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1956. He attended Texas Tech University and then received a degree from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Dennis married Phyllis Vnya Seaton in Brownfield on February 18, 1961. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a Sr. Vice President at the First National Bank in Brownfield for 42 years before retiring. He was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Neal McCutcheon.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Brownfield; 3 daughters, Mitzi McElroy and husband Jeff of Brownfield, Vnya Powell and husband Bob of Denton and Laura McCutcheon of Midland; 8 grandchildren, Eric and April McElroy, Ashley McElroy, Cody Neighbors, Dustin and Starla Neighbors, Rob and Jody Powell; 5 great grandchildren.
