Memorial Service for Janice Diane Conner Hunt will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Loop Church of Christ, under the care of Brownfield Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held following the service at the Loop Community Building.
Janice Diane Conner Hunt, known to most as Di or Diane, but also affectionately known to her family as Momma Di, was born in Los Angeles County, California, on February 11, 1943, to Harding Mann Conner and Ida Mildred Duncan Conner. Diane passed from this life on February 10, 2025.
Diane graduated from Denver City High School in 1961. She met her husband of 56 years, Jerry Liston Hunt, at the Dixie Dog in Seagraves, Texas. They married on December 23, 1960, in Seagraves.
Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother (Momma Di), and a beloved member of the Loop community. She worked for several years for the Loop Independent School District as well as the Gaines County Museum in Seagraves. Diane was a talented artist, quilter, an avid reader, and a great cook, and she loved to work in her yard. But, foremost, she loved God and her family. Holidays at Momma Di and Papa's were the highlight of the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her five children, Trina (Kevin) Haley of San Antonio, Jana Hannsz of Lubbock, Lissa (Louis) Russo of Southport, NC, Conner Hunt of Loop, and Casey Hunt of Coweta, OK, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Mann and Mildred, husband Jerry, brothers Roger and Dennis, son-in-law Mark Hannsz, and beloved grandson, Garrett Hunt.
