Services for Domingo S. Avitia, 76, of Brownfield will be at 10:30 am, Thursday, July 31, 2008 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Domingo passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008 in Brownfield. He was born September 19, 1931 in Valle de Zaragoza, Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to Brownfield in 1960. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Enedina Leyva; two daughters, Rosa Ledesma and Armandina Cruz; a son Rudy Hernandez.
Domingo is survived by 6 daughters, Lola Avitia of Meadow, Romelia Rodriguez and her husband Leopoldo of Meadow, Margarita Infante and her husband Noe of Midland, Maria Garcia of Brownfield, Dominga Zamora of El Paso, Manuela Rubio and her husband Adam of Michigan; 29 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
