Domingo Vasquez

Funeral services for Domingo Alvarez Vasquez will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, October 28, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Rosary will be held Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 at 6:00 pm at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Domingo was born October 12, 1941 in Waco to Antonia Alvarez and Refugio Vasquez. He married his “main squeeze” Olivia Franco on September 27, 1962 in Brownfield. Domingo was one of a Kind! He was a loving, funny and very faithful, God-fearing man. He took great care of his wife and children. Domingo loved his grandkids and great grandkids so much! He worked many years on the farm. He enjoyed fishing, going to boxing events, and barbecuing with his son Gilbert. He loved taking vacations in the summer and making breakfast for his grandchildren. He made the best pancakes!!! But, let it be known if the grandkids misbehaved, he would tell them to quit being bird brains! His children are grateful to God for allowing Domingo to be their dad (daddy). We hope you are enjoying the unlimited supply of sweets in heaven and let’s not forget his unlimited morning coffee, he loved his coffee!!! Love you Daddy, you were the best dad, grandpa, and husband.

Domingo is survived by his wife, Olivia Vasquez children, Angie Garcia, Alice Sanchez, Reyna Vasquez, Gilbert Vasquez and wife Rachel, Cristela Navarro, Teresa Ramon and husband Stephen, Christopher Vasquez all from Brownfield; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister Martina Moreno; brother, Samuel Carrion; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mom, Antonia Alvarez, sister, Rachel Medina, brother Pedro Estrada, grandpa Pedro Alvarez and in laws, Frank and Aurelia Franco.
