Doris Lavon Brooks, 78, of Lubbock passed away. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hermleigh Cemetery.
Doris was born on October 22, 1931 in Hale Center to Thomas and Annie Henley. She worked for Texas Instruments in Lubbock as a product inspector for over 20 years. She loved quilting, crossword puzzles and her Monday Night Wrestling. Doris was a Baptist. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Chester Henley and her sister, Adelle Lloyd.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Barrett and her husband Danny of Hobbs; 2 grandsons, John and Jordan Barrett of Hobbs; 2 sisters, Virgie Chambers and Bernadine Wilson of Brownfield and her 2 brothers, Dewey Don Henley of Brownfield and T.J. "Tom" Henley of Post.
