Dorris Ray Tuggle

Services for Dorris Ray Tuggle, 82, of Plains will be at 2pm, Monday, March 26, 2012 at Plains First Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Plains Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

There will be a family visitation Sunday at the Plains Church from 7-8pm.

Dorris passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 in Lubbock. He was born January 9, 1930 to Benjamin Cleveland and Leoma (Callaway) Tuggle in Haskell County. Dorris married Evelyn Louise Armstrong on November 6, 1948 in Haskell. He was a cotton ginner and farmer his whole life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Charter Member of Lubbock Scottish Rite and Plains First Baptist Church.
Dorris is preceded in death by a grandson, Shane Tuggle; 5 brothers, Coy, Buddy, Alton, Leon and Jerry Tuggle; 3 sisters, Evelyne Elliott, Wilma Kirkland and Mazelle Shipman.

Dorris is survived by his wife, Louise; 3 sons, Danny Tuggle and wife Tink, Odell Tuggle and wife Susie and Randy and wife Edith; grandchildren, Steven Tuggle, David Tuggle, Tammie Warren and Staci Albert; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Joe Tuggle.
