Services for Claude Duane Lewis, 75, of Brownfield will be 10am, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds and Bo Shero officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
There will be a family visitation Monday evening at Brownfield Funeral Home from 5-7pm.
Duane passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 in a Lubbock Hospital. He was born October 8, 1937 in Lynn County to J.P. and Johnnie (Wynn) Lewis. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1956. He then received an Associate Degree of Science at Tarleton State University. He furthered his studies at Sul Ross University. Duane married Lavone Seaton on October 8, 1960 in Brownfield. He was a farmer for over 40 years and a member of Terry County Young Farmers Association. Duane and his family received the award for “Outstanding Farm Family” in 1979. He was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ and was a teacher for the World Bible School.
Duane is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lavone of Brownfield; a son, Casey Lewis of Lubbock; two daughters, Vicki Lewis Lozano and husband Ray of Smyer and Kym Lewis Clark and husband Shane of Big Spring; grandchildren, Kyla Clark, Caden Clark, Ty Clark, Brock Bundy, Lane Bundy, Sheldon Lozano, Tye Lozano and Braxton Lozano; a great grandson, Ian Lozano; a sister, Mary Helen Beck of Dallas; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, J.M. “James” Lewis.
