Dulces Nombres Balderrama-Pena

Funeral Services for Dulces Nombres Balderrrama-Pena, 57, will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 14, 2023, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Viewing will be from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home with Rosary at 6:00 pm.

Dulces Nombres Balderrama-Pena passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023. He was born on January 18, 1966, to Francisco and Maria De La Luz Pena Balderrama. He loved baseball, especially watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and Atlanta Braves. He spent many summers gardening as he loved to grow different fruits and vegetables. He was known to be a hard-working man throughout the agricultural community in Terry County. He worked as a farm hand for many years and worked in different gins throughout the area. His love for work earned him a reputation around the area as a great man, and many knew him as "Candy".

He is preceded in death by his father Francisco Balderrama and his brother Jesus Balderrama.

He is survived by his two; sons Leonel and Joshua; his mother, Maria De La Luz Pena; sister, Belia Balderrama and brother, Francisco Balderrama. He is also survived by five grandsons; Jordan, Damian, Daniel, Gage, and Jayden, and six nephews; Jesus Alberto, Francisco Antonio, Angel Ulises, Gerardo, Gustavo, and Sergio.
