Eloisa Madrigal

On the morning of Tuesday, January 16, 2024, the good Lord called his beloved child, Eloisa Madrigal, home to be with Him, her mother & father, and her older brother. 
 
Eloisa Arriaga Madrigal was born on July 15, 1949 (74), in Staples, TX, to Petra & Cliofas Arriaga and established her life in Ropesville, Texas.
 
Eloisa was a beautiful, loving soul who was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active church member, spending every Sunday morning singing for the Lord and serving her church however she could. She spent her life caring for her family, raising them to be strong, kind, and caring people.
 
Eloisa is survived by her husband, Alejandro Madrigal Sr., her daughter Diana Madrigal, and her son, Alejandro Madrigal Jr. She also was blessed with four grandchildren, Catherine Madrigal, Alexandria Quintanilla, Jake Quintanilla, and Daniel Madrigal, along with six great-grandchildren, Jayden Castillo, Josiah Madrigal, Jye Madrigal, Myla Madrigal, Athena Cuellar, and Jon’Michael Cuellar. She is also remembered by her two sisters, Carmen Castańeda and Victoria Arriaga. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Petra & Cliofas Arriaga and her older brother Lazaro “Hondo” Arriaga. 
 
Recitation of the Rosary will be on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Brownfield Funeral Home in Brownfield, TX, with the viewing beginning at 3:00 p.m. Her funeral will follow on Friday, January 19, 2024, with a closed viewing beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass starting at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Brownfield, Texas. Internment to follow at the Ropesville Cemetery.  
 
Serving as pallbearers are her grandchildren, Jake Quintanilla, Alexandria Quintanilla, and Daniel Madrigal, her Great-Grandchildren, Jayden Castillo and Josiah Madrigal, and her nephew, Gabriel Castańeda. 
 
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Brownfield Funeral Home, 120 W Tate St, Brownfield, TX 79316. Floral donations can be made through the Brownfield Funeral Home website or directly with Brownfield Floral at (806)637-4545.
