Erma Morales

Funeral Service for Erma Morales will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Morin officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Erma was born on July 26, 1954, in Weslaco, TX, to Angel and Rosa Hernandez. She passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 70.

Erma was a woman of vibrant spirit and warmth. Her "spicy" charismatic personality could light up any room and bring joy to those around her. An avid bingo player, she found camaraderie and excitement with friends as they played bingo together. Her sharp mind and strategic thinking made her not only a fierce competitor in games of Scrabble but also a beloved opponent among her friends and family.

Dedicated to her loved ones, Erma’s family was her greatest treasure. She shared an unwavering bond with her children and grandchildren, pouring love and wisdom into their lives.

Beyond her role as a mother and grandmother, Erma had a passion for collecting angels and crystals, each piece reflecting her belief in the beauty of life and the power of positivity. She embodied a spirit of grace and gratitude, leaving a legacy of love that will be cherished by those who knew her.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents Angel and Rosa Hernandez; two sons, Ricky Morales and James Morales; brother, Ernesto Hernandez; and daughter-in-law, Vanessa Morales. She is survived by two sons, Adam Morales (Laura) and Joe Morales (Erica); eight siblings, Angel Hernandez (Sally), Robert Hernandez, Mary DeLeon, Johnny Hernandez, Janie Soliz, Ector Hernandez, Graviella Grimaldo (Frank), Adam Hernandez; seven grandchildren, Bryan, Amanda, Jaime, Adam, Adrian, Desiree, Andrew; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Lubbock for the loving care they provided Erma.
