Estefana Rodriquez Medrano

Services for Estefana Rodriquez Medrano formerly of Brownfield will be held at 10am Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Estefana Rodriquez Medrano, was called to heaven on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Estefana was born on May 6, 1922 in Beeville, TX. She married Daniel Medrano, Sr. in Matador TX on November 26, 1940. They lived in wedded bliss for 53 wonderful years. There was no greater treasure to her than her beautiful and loving family which she cared for as a happy homemaker. She was a long time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and had a deep devotion to the Virgen de Guadalupe. This Earth was blessed to have her for 91 years and our hope is to continue to be blessed with the legacy she has left us. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Medrano, Sr., her son, Rene’ W. Medrano, her parents, Lucas and Maria Rodriquez, her step-mother, Graviela Rodriquez, her brother, Soledad “Chole” Rodriquez and an infant grandson, Freddy Medrano.

Estefana is survived by her son, Daniel Medrano Jr. and his wife Tomasa from Denver City TX and her daughter, Anna Rodriquez and her husband Mike from San Antonio TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Irma Medrano Williams (Arliss), Daniel Medrano, III (Andrea), Lydia Garcia (Ray), Irene Castillo (Mike), Abraham Medrano (Olga), Sandra Deanda-Garza (Jessie), Alfredo Medrano (Joyce), Linda Deanda, Stephanie Deanda Muniz (Roger), Ramon Medrano (Summer), Rebecca Valles (Brian) and Rene Medrano (Christy). She also was blessed with 29 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
