Estelle "Ester" Quesada, 66, of Brownfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 am Monday, August 30, 2021 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rudy Alvarado officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 12 - 8 pm.
Ester was born in Brownfield on June 9, 1955 to George and Beatrice (Garcia) Quesada. She was a lifelong resident of Brownfield, with the exception of a few years in Seagraves. Ester was a hard-working woman who spent her time taking care of others. She was a caregiver, both professionally and to her family. Ester loved being a Grandma, taking care of her pets and she enjoyed spending time with her dear friend, Joe Villarreal. She also liked working on puzzles-especially crossword puzzles, and watching wrestling. She attended the Spanish Foursquare Bilingual Church in Brownfield. Ester was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Noel Quesada.
Ester is survived by her son, Gilbert Zapata; 2 brothers, Carlos and Raynaldo Quesada; 2 sisters, Basilia Leija and Rosalinda Muñoz; 3 grandchildren, Zavana Routon, Zelyn Zapata, and Zachary Zapata; 1 great-grandchild, Adelina Jae Routon and numerous nieces and nephews.
