Felipe Hernandez

Services for Felipe Hernandez of Brownfield will be held at 10 am Thursday, January 6, 2022 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig Officiating.

Rosary will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Felipe passed away peacefully at the age of 81 after a valiant battle of Pancreatic Cancer. He was a truck driver for over 42 years, and enjoyed telling his truck driving adventures to anyone who sat with him long enough to tell a story. His heart was always with his extended family in the San Antonio area, and was planning to one day soon make another trip. Felipe was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Anita Martinez Hernandez, a granddaughter Erica Basquez, and a son Jesus (Jessie) Hernandez.

Those left to remember him, a daughter Sarah Basquez and husband Gilbert Basquez from Brownfield, a son Felipe Hernandez Jr and Hailee from Brownfield, a daughter Estella Silva and husband Joe Silva also from Brownfield, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, a brother and many extended family members.
