Services for Foy L. Lowrey, 91, of New Home will be held at 10am Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Plains Cemetery with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Foy was born on January 25, 1925 in Waveland, Arkansas to John and Leona James. She married Oscar Lowrey in Plains on February 7, 1942. She loved music, singing and dancing with her husband. Foy made and sold ceramics in Meadow at Fun Time Ceramics. On July 5, 2016 she entered heaven, a place she longed to be for many years.
Foy is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lowrey; parents, John and Leona James; great grandchild, McKay Mayes, daughter-in-law, Sydna Lowrey; 2 brothers, Forrest James and Hearld James and 3 sisters, Faye Hogan, Berma James and Alice James.
Foy is survived by her daughter Darlene Nieman and husband Clarence of New Home; son, Bud Lowrey of Lubbock; grandchildren, Debi Nieman, Shannon Gonzales, Robbi Nieman, Staja Mills and husband Chuck, and Lisa Mayes and husband Les; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great- grandchild and many, many nieces and nephews.
