Fran Price

Services for Franchelle Reed Price, 90, of Brownfield will be at the First United Methodist Church at 10am, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 with Rev. Ruby Moultrie officiating. Burial will be at 2pm, Wednesday, April 16th in Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak, Texas under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Brownfield Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5-7 pm.
Fran went to heaven on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Brownfield. She was born on November 25, 1923 in Dallas, Texas to Lester and Myrtle (Carradine) Reed. She graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and attended Draughon Business College. She worked at Strut, Strut and Beard Law Office in Waco where she met her husband to be. Fran married Charles "Charlie" Edward Price on October 11, 1947 in Waco, Texas. They moved to Brownfield in 1949. Fran and Charlie owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Brownfield for over 50 years and were in Real Estate for 30 years. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in 2001, her parents and a sister.
Fran is survived by a daughter, Tanya Hargrave and husband Chuck of Ruidoso, NM; a son, Charles "Chuck" E. Price, Jr. of Tucson, Ariz; 5 grandchildren, Tiffany Kirgan and husband Ramon of Tyler, Chelsea Giles and husband Steven of Dallas, Addison Price of Tucson, AZ, Tanner Price of Denver, CO and Jamie Price of Denver, CO; 4 great grandchildren, Alexis and Allie Rae Kirgan and Aspen and River Giles.
The family suggests memorials to Brownfield First United Methodist Church or ones favorite charity.
