Services for Frank Melcher, 85, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Mike Melcher officiating. Burial will follow at 2pm at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Lubbock under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Frank will be in state for viewing at the funeral home, Monday, June 13th, from 10-8pm.
Frank passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 in Lubbock. He was born February 10, 1926 in Posey, Texas to John Conrad and Rudolfina (Hluchanek) Melcher. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the VFW. Frank married Ida Allene Stevens on September 10, 1946 in Slaton. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2004. He owned and operated Terry County Tractor in Brownfield for over 55 years. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Frank is survived by 2 daughters; Kathy Vernon of Amarillo and Debbie Nussey and husband Tony of Wylie; 3 sons, Randy Melcher of Lewisville, Doug Melcher and his wife Vicki of Brownfield and Danny Melcher and his wife Carla of Colorado Springs, CO; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Conrad Melcher, Jr. of Slaton.
