Gena Wilmeth

Services for Millie Gena Wilmeth, 75, of Brownfield will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Plains First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Doyle and Rev. Cameron Givan officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Gena passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 in Brownfield. She was born on December 29, 1932 to Mancil Clyde and Lola McAbee Jeter in Delta County, Texas. She attended Ralls High School and graduated from Delmar High School in Lamar Co. She then attended Paris Jr. College.She married Mack Wilmeth on May 21, 1955 in Sweetwater. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1995. They lived in the Tokio Community from 1955 until moving to Brownfield in 1984. Gena served on the Board of Directors for the XYZ Club. She was a member of the Plains First United Methodist Church. She is also preceded in death by her parents; step father Dick James.

Gena is survived by her two sons, Jeter Wilmeth and his wife Gay of Tokio and Ty Wilmeth and his wife Mary of Plains; 4 grandchildren, Becky, April, Colby Wilmeth of Lubbock and Liz Braquet of Brownwood; a sister, Carolyn Newkirk of Levelland; numerous additional family and friends.

The family suggests memorials to the Brownfield XYZ Club or charity of your choice.

Gena will be in state for viewing Sunday from 9am - 8pm.
