Harvey Dell Knight

Services for Harvey Dell Knight, Sr., 95, of Brownfield, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Brownfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Ragland officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Harvey was born in Lakeview, TX, on June 23, 1928, to W.T. and Willie Mae Knight. He graduated from New Home High School in New Home, TX. Harvey married Estalee Pearson, from Happy, TX, on February 16, 1946, in Swisher County. In October 1997, he and Patsy Wheeler married in Lubbock County.

Harvey was a farmer in Terry County for 70+ years. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in both Gomez and Brownfield. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and president of the Terry Twirlers. Harvey was a natural grandfather and loved his family and kids. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Estalee in 1996, and his second wife, Patsy in 2014; as well as his son, Lee Allen Knight in 1957, and one grandson, Travis Roberts. Harvey is survived by his children, Shere and Ronnie Forbes, Carla and Doyle Seaton, Dell and Cecilia Knight, and their families; stepchildren, Jennifer and Bob Kessler, Jaqua and Warren Mull, and Jimmy and Melinda Wheeler; and by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
