Helen Ruth Hinkle

Helen Ruth Hinkle, 92, of Brownfield passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010 in Brownfield. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter and Rev. Odis Boring officiating. Interment will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Helen was born on June 15, 1918 in Grayson County to Hugh and Ora Gray. She started school in Spur, TX where she lived until February 1936. She then moved to Tokio where she graduated from high school. She married Knox Hinkle on December 23, 1938. Helen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian as well as a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Helen is survived by her husband, Knox Hinkle of Brownfield; a son, Gerald Dean Hinkle of Brownfield; 2 sisters, Frances Upton and her husband Charles of Brownfield and Nadine Mobley of Andrews and numerous nieces and nephews.
