Funeral Services for Irene M. Sifuentez will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home. Viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on both Tuesday and Wednesday, July 30 & 31, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Irene came into this world on April 30, 1955, and gained her angel wings on July 27, 2024, at the age of 69. She was born to Jesus and Maria Rosas Martinez in Brownfield.

Throughout her life, Irene emanated warmth and kindness, always seeking to find the best in everyone she encountered. Described as funny, loving, and caring, Irene touched the lives of all who knew her. With a knack for seeing the best in everyone and offering tough love when needed, she was a source of guidance and comfort to many. Her culinary skills were unparalleled, with each dish she cooked being a manifestation of her love and passion for her family. Irene's greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandkids, whom she adored. Her kids describe her as the “best mom ever” and say she was “one of a kind.”

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Maria Rosas Martinez; and brother, Jose Joseph “Pito” Martinez.

She is survived by son, Pete Sifuentez, Jr. and wife, Norma of Brownfield, daughter, Elinda Sifuentez of Brownfield, son, Fidencio Sifuentez of Brownfield, son, Carlos Sifuentez of Brownfield, son, Marcelino "Mars" Sifuentez of Brownfield, daughter, Dolores "Brenda" Sifuentez and husband, Armando of Brownfield, son, Julian Sifuentez and wife, Erica of Brownfield and her baby Amos Thomas Sifuentez of Brownfield; her children's father, Pedro Sifuentez, Sr.; 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Also, brother, Jesse Martinez, Jr. and wife, Guadalupe of Brownfield, sister, Martha Cruz of Wauchula, FL, sister, Janie Hinojosa of Lubbock, brother, Sammy Martinez, Sr. and wife, Mary of Brownfield. brother, Martin Martinez and wife, Lena of Levelland, brother Jimmy Martinez of Slaton; and many nieces and nephews.

Irene leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
