James Lee Bennett

Memorial service for James Lee Bennett will be held at 11am Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Wellman First Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie McHugh officiating.

James passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 in Lubbock. He was born April 13, 1963 in Lubbock to Tommy and Pat Bennett. He graduated from Meadow High School as valedictorian. James then attended school at Texas A&M of Galveston and South Plains College. He worked as an auto mechanic for over 35 years. James was an avid golfer. He loved all of his kids. He is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Leander Bennett and his grandparents.

James is survived by his son, Alex Bennett of Wellman; mother, Pat Bennett of Wellman; brother, Michael Bennett of Wellman; stepchildren, Erin Alford of Weatherford, Ashley Jones of Rainier, OR, Joseph Culp who is currently serving in the United States Air Force, Jessica Culp of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.
