Services for Jesus Antonio “Tony” Contreras, 71, of Brownfield, will be at 10am, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Jesus passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Brownfield. He was born January 19, 1942 in Ft. Worth. He married Rosa Mermella in 1969. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa; his parents, Antonio and Anita Contreras; a son, Ray Mermella; a grandson Jayden Xzavian; 2 brothers, Domingo Contreras and Alfonso Contreras; a sister, Juanita Contreras.

Jesus is survived by 5 sons, Daniel and Esmeralda Carrion of Seagraves, Alex Contreras of Brownfield, Mark and Nina Contreras of Brownfield, Jesus Jr. and Samantha Contreras of Brownfield and Manuel and Roma Mermella of Pasadena; 2 daughters, Trinidad and Roy Torres of Pasadena and Blanca Contreras of Brownfield; grandchildren, Daniel Ray and Gabriela Carrion, Roy and Jessica Torres, Mercedes, Megan, Andrew, Eliott and George Contreras, Tanner, Jordan, Serena Contreras, Zacharia, Tristain, Julius and Josiah Contreras, Frances, Diego and Crystal Mermella Joshua, Victoria, Lilian and Gabriella DeLuna; great grandchildren, Bryden Lee, Jaziah, Nicholas, Genesis, Alfonso and Lexy; 4 brothers, Carlos Contreras and wife Cecelia, Juan Contreras, Victor Contreras and wife Theresa and Mario Contreras; 5 sisters, Ramona Contreras, Anita Rios, Maria Rodriguez, Estella Contreras and Betty Contreras.
