Joe Burleson

Joe Burleson, 94, passed away on March 19, 2025. A long-time resident of the Meadow community and Terry County; school teacher/principal of Meadow Elementary for 30 years. At his request, the family has planned no services. He wished to be cremated and his ashes scattered at the Meadow Cemetery and the family cabin in Ruidoso, NM.

Mr. Burleson was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Marcus, his brother James, his sister Marcille, his wife Noyce, their daughter Harriet, and her son Sawyer. He is survived by his great-granddaughters Kailynn and Corah.
