Services for Joe Darrell Knight, 71, of Brownfield will be at 1pm, Friday, June 3, 2011 at Brownfield First Baptist Chapel with Rev. Randy Land and Dr. Carl Moman officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
God called Joe home on Monday, May 30, 2011. He was born February 2, 1940 in Seagraves, Texas to W. T. and Willie Mae Knight. He was raised in New Home. He married Giesela Jungling on April 6, 1966 in Furth, Germany. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Brownfield First Baptist Church.
Joe is survived by his wife Giesela of Brownfield; a daughter, Sonja Romero and husband Robert of Lubbock; a son, Robert Joe Knight of Austin; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Harvey Dale Knight of Lubbock; a sister, Laverne McAllister of New Home; many nieces and nephews.
