Joe Bob Palmer

In remembrance of a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Joe Bob Palmer was born July 20, 1940, and passed away on July 23, 2022. Joe Bob was born to Raymond and Pansy Palmer in Hereford, Texas. 

He married Elizabeth Gilbreth on October 19, 1963. He was father to Bridgite Black, Joe Paul (Jerinne). He was Pop to Cody Ray Black (Vanessa), Joshua Frazier Black, Jacque Seaton, Dianna (Ross) Taylor and Stephanie Seaton. Great-grandfather to Gavin, Jaiven, Myla and Steven. He was a brother to Judy Fitzgerald, Jeanne Eaks, Jim Palmer, the late Jack Palmer and Joyce Howell. He had numerous nieces and nephews. 

Joe Bob loved his family, driving tractors, combines, trucks and his loyal ole lawn mower. He enjoyed football, basketball and track.

The family appreciates thoughts and prayers during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Boys Ranch -- founded by Cal Farley (calfarley.org) or Children's Home of Lubbock (childshome.org). There will be a private burial in Plains, Texas, under the care of Brownfield Funeral Home.
