Josephine Garcia

Funeral services for Josephine Garcia, 86, of Brownfield will be held at 11am Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Templo Sinai Asambleas with Rev. Raul Gutierrez officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Josephine will be in state from 8am to 8pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Brownfield Funeral Home, with a prayer service from 7pm to 8pm.

Josephine Garcia passed away at her home on July 2, 2016. She was born February 27, 1930 in Yorktown to Francisco and Nicolosas Perez Contreras. Josephine married Santiago “Jimmy” Garcia on 1949 in Yorktown. She was a loving caring mother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy, and grandson, Steven DelaCruz.

Josephine is survived by her son Pete Garcia and wife Marcella of Brownfield; 8 daughters Mary Franco and husband, Rosendo of Amarillo, Olga Lusche and husband, Dave of Columbus, NE, Rosa Losey and husband, Steve, of Dallas, Elva Garcia of Brownfield, Lia DelaCruz and husband, Danny, of Brownfield, Juanita Lopez and husband, Rey, of Brownfield, Cynthia Gonzales and husband, Abraham, of Brownfield, Lisa Pierce of Brownfield; 20 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
