Joy May Stucker (Richardson), of Brownfield, Texas, was born in Seagraves, Texas on March 13, 1933. She was the second birth of identical twin sisters to A.G. and Odie Verna Richardson who precede her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Stucker, who she married on May 2, 1951; two sons, Kirby Don Stucker and Freddy Sims; and her four sisters and four brothers.
Later, Joy worked in the meat market at Piggly Wiggly's, the school cafeterias of Randell Elementary and the Intermediate School and Middle School, and later worked in the office of Martin's Auto Service and Repair.
Joy is survived by her daughter, Judy Lynn Howard and Jerry; daughter-in-law, Pat Sims; grandchildren, Eric Howard and Brandy, Joey Howard and Ron Flores, and Rhonda Neill and Clint; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Benevides and James, Jerod Howard and Aella, Hunter Neill, Mason Howard and Victoria, Abbey Castanon and Austin, and Bailey Neill and her fiance Seth Berry; great-great grandchildren, Jaxson Leon Howard and Iris May Castanon; and by numerous other loving family and friends.
Visitation for Joy will be Monday, March 13, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brownfield Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brownfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Resident Activity Program.
