Funeral Service for Juanelle Cunningham will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home with Gil Peters officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Juanelle was born on January 30, 1951, to Van and Bonnie Lary in Brownfield, TX, and she passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 73. Juanelle married David Cunningham on June 24, 1972, and they were married for 44 years until his passing in 2016.

Known for her compassionate and caring nature, Juanelle never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she would give all she could without hesitation.

An LVN by profession, Juanelle touched many lives with her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering sense of compassion. Later in life, she transitioned to serving her community at the local Dairy Queen, where she brought joy and comfort to family and friends through her warm service.

Juanelle is preceded in death by her husband, David Cunningham; her parents, Alvin Vanderford Lary, Sr. and Bonnie Lary; a brother, Alvin Vanderford Lary, Jr.; and a niece, Jeanifer Lary. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Cunningham Betterton and husband, Steven; a son, Michael David Cunningham; a sister, Florence Lary Stiffler; 2 brothers, Jimmy Lee Lary, and wife Judy, and Allen Vernon Lary; 3 grandchildren, Gabby, Gavin, and Colton; 2 great-grandchildren, Kharmen and Layanna; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family would like to thank the faculty and staff at Brownfield Rehabilitation and Care Center and Interim Hospice for their loving care of Juanelle.
