Services for LaQuita G. Cargill, 78, of Brownfield will be at 2pm, Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Hamilton and Rev. Jon Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 Friday, Oct. 8th, at the funeral home.
LaQuita passed away October 6, 2010 in Lubbock. She was born November 19, 1931 in Scurry County to James Thomas and Velma Alice Wilson. She attended and graduated from Union High School in 1949. She married Darwin Leon Cargill on October 16, 1954 in Brownfield. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2002. She is also preceded in death by her parents; 2 daughters, Kim Cargill Dosher and Teresa McHan; a brother, Levi Wilson; and a sister, Earlene Wilson Maddox. She was a Baptist.
LaQuita is survived by 3 grandchildren, Roy McCalib, Jr. and wife Brandi of Lubbock, Haley Dosher of Lubbock and Jennifer Halpain and husband David of Amarillo; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Laurence Wilson and wife Flo of Brownfield and Lloyd Wilson and wife Ann of Cross Plains; a sister, Lois Harvell of Andrews; several nieces and nephews.
