Lee R. Bonds, Jr.

Memorial Service for Lee R. Bonds, Jr. will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Brownfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Rosenblad officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Lee peacefully passed away on December 11, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on August 28, 1944, in Alexandria, LA.

Lee dedicated his career to serving the community as the Head of Plumbing for Los Angeles County for over 30 years. His expertise and dedication made a lasting impact on the county's infrastructure, ensuring a safe and functioning plumbing system for countless residents.

Outside of work, Lee was an avid golfer, finding solace and joy on the green. He cherished the time spent with family and friends, creating memories and sharing laughter through their golfing adventures. Lee's faith was an integral part of his life, and he was a member of First Baptist Church in Brownfield.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Bonds, Sr. and Lucille Bonds.

Lee is survived by his loving wife, Janet Bonds; 5 children, Jeff Bonds, Jamie Bonds, Wendy Bonds, Jana Sargent, and Toni Bonds; siblings, Chuck Bonds, Glenda Vestal, and Sue Moran; 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Becky, Anthony, Matthew, Ashley, Tyler, Cody, Gilbert, Dani and Mel and 4 great-grandchildren, Xaiver, Mayjor, Esmee and Gilbert.
