Leopoldo Martinez, Jr.

Services for Leopoldo Martinez, Jr., 69, of Brownfield will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Brownfield Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2-6 pm, followed by a rosary beginning at 6 pm on Monday, August 31, 2020, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Leopoldo was born on January 3, 1951, in El Campo, TX to Leopoldo and Rosa Martinez. He graduated from Brownfield High School and worked for Halliburton as a Service Supervisor for more than 40 years. He was a very loving and compassionate person, making him a good husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all 8 of his sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law, his Halliburton Brotherhood, and loved most of all by his best friend and granddaughter, Chloey Leigh Gober. He was a diehard Cowboy’s fan.

Leopoldo is preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo and Rosa Martinez; sister, Mary Flores; sister-in-law, Diana Arguellez and father and mother-in-law, Jesus and Alicia Arguellez.

Leopoldo is survived by his wife, Gloria Martinez; 4 children, Samantha Vela and husband Bryan, Aimee Friend and husband Brian, Carlitos Estorga and wife Lorie, and Andy Martinez; 5 grandchildren, Chloey Leigh Gober, Samson Bryan Vela, Kayden Friend, Bradley Zane Estorga, and Nathan Martinez; and 5 siblings, Feliz, Lolo, Isabel, Lala, and Juan Martinez.
