A Come-And-Go Memorial for Linda Nell Browning will be held at Studio One Salon, 204 N. Cedar Street from 4 pm to 7 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024.
Linda was born on September 6, 1955, to James and Lois Cloe, and was a lifelong resident of Brownfield, Texas. She attended Brownfield High School, where her talent as a twirler shone brightly.
On October 17, 1983, Linda exchanged vows with her loving husband Jerry, and their union was a cherished partnership filled with love and support. Linda dedicated 47 years of her life to the art of beautifying others as a skilled beautician. It's been said that Linda heard more confessions through the years than any preacher.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Linda found great joy in multi-level marketing and spending time gardening. Her warm and welcoming nature drew people to her, and she found fulfillment in sharing Jesus, serving others, and meeting new people everywhere she went. Her number one passion in life was her love for the Lord and serving others on His behalf.
Linda shared a special bond with her son, Robert, who was not only her child but also her close friend. They spent many hours working together in her garden and had frequent conversations sharing their love for Scripture and the Lord.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lois Cloe; and a son-in-law, Robert Barber. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Browning; 2 sons, Robert Browning and wife Amy of Lubbock, and Mark Browning and wife Bonnie of Amarillo; a daughter, Kim Barber of Raleigh, MS; a sister, Deaun Cloe; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
