Graveside services for Lola Mae Farris, 83, of Hobbs, NM will be 10:30 am Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Brownfield Cemetery. Interment will be in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Lola was born July 4, 1923 in Noodle, TX to Walter and Vera Farris. She finished High School and then graduated from American Business College. She moved to Brownfield from Tokio in 1945. Lola worked in sales retiring with Montgomery Wards in Irving. She then worked for J. C. Penny's for ten years. Lola was also a caretaker for others. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Levelland, TX. She most recently moved to a nursing home in Hobbs. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and a nephew.
She is survived by two nieces, Jeanette Collins of Tatum, NM and Roma Miller of Brownfield; a nephew, Calvin Farris of Seminole; numerous great nieces and nephews.
