Loleta Pearl Ware, 92, of Brownfield passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 in Lubbock. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at West Tate Church of Christ with Ernest Smith officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Loleta was born on October 2, 1916 in Afton, Texas to N.S. and Ruby Stella Copeland. She lived in Meadow for a few years as a child before moving to a farm in Petersburg, Texas then to Lubbock. There she met her husband Leonard L. Ware whom she married on May 15, 1937 in Lubbock. They lived in many towns including Big Spring, Amarillo, Plainview, Sweetwater, Clovis, Portales, Hobbs, and Phoenix. She and her husband were watchmakers by trade while Leonard preached at area churches. She was a member of West Tate Church of Christ.

Loleta is survived by 3 daughters, Velma Kirk and her husband Bill of Lubbock, Ruby Copeland and her husband Jewel and Leta Smith and her husband Ernest of Brownfield; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Memorial can be made to West Tate Church of Christ.
