Mary Louise Adair McClanhan, 88, of Brownfield passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 in Lubbock. Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield at 11am, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 with Buzz Timmons officiating. Graveside services will follow in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will have visitation from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Louise was born March 2, 1922 to Arthur and Sarah Bradshaw in Rogers, Texas. She attended Meadow and Wellman schools. Louise married Sam Adair. He preceded her in death in 1968. Louise then married Vernon McClanahan on July 24, 1974 in Leon Springs. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1991. She enjoyed volunteering at the Town and Country nursing home in Boerne. She was a member of the Boerne First Baptist Church. She is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Truett Bradshaw and Kenneth Bradshaw; a great grandson, Grant Blocker.
Louise is survived by two daughters, Bettie Adair of Wellman and Sammie Hancock and husband Kenneth of Lubbock; a sister, Juanita Ransom of Ballinger; a brother, Arthur Bradshaw of Beechgrove, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; two stepchildren, Robert McClanahan of New Jersey and Joann Driess of San Antonio; 8 grandchildren, Sandra Blocker of Lubbock, Michael Moorhead of Spring, Barbara Armstrong of Coppell, Leslie Moorhead of Wellman, Samantha Moorhead of Temple, Tabatha Hodges of Abilene, Tiffany Clark of Weatherford, and Russell Moorhead of Austin; 10 great grandchildren.
