Services for Margaret Elaine Gober, 78, of Brownfield will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ruby Moultrie officiating and Rev. Buddy Payne and Rev. Don McWhorter assisting. Burial will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Family visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Friday, August 14, 2015, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Margaret was born November 8, 1936, in Grassland to Jesse B. and Ruby Lee Dalton. She graduated from Meadow High School. Margaret married L.R. Gober on November 20, 1955, in Meadow. She was a member of Brownfield First United Methodist Church where she was on numerous committees. Margaret was also a 50 year member of Eastern Star, Terry County Home Demonstration Club, Terry County Fair Board, Terry County Quilters Guild, a board member of Brownfield Meals On Wheels, Friendship Home Demonstration Club, and a precinct election judge for Terry County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse B. and Ruby Lee Dalton, brother, Lonnie V. Dalton, Sr., and nephew, Lonnie V. Dalton, Jr.
Margaret is survived by her husband, L.R. Gober of Brownfield; three sons, Randy Gober of Midland, Ron Gober and wife, Enedelia, of Brownfield, Bryan Gober and wife, Judy, of Houston; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Boardman and husband, Roger, of Bakersfield, CA; sister-in-law, Evelyn Dalton of Meadow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
