Services for Maria Perez, 82, of Brownfield will be held at 10am, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Family visitation will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home from 6-8pm, Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

Maria Refugia Perez passed away in Lubbock on Tuesday, May 07, 2013. She was born May 30, 1930 in Runnels County to Agapito and Eufemia Barrientes. Maria married Natividad Perez on April 10, 1947 in San Angelo. Maria was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Natividad Perez; 2 sons, Johnny Perez and Ignacio Perez; a sister, Teresa Lovington; 2 brothers, Luis Barrientes and Fred Barrientes.

Maria is survived by 3 daughters, Mary Lou Garza and husband, Richard of Lubbock, Susie Solano of Lubbock and Erlinda Perez of Orlando, FL; 4 sons, Ricardo Perez and wife, Frances of Lamesa, George Perez and wife Mary Jane of Orlando, FL, Angel Perez and wife, Joy of Orlando, FL and Robert Perez and wife Angela of Levelland; 29 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; a sister, Francisca Villa of San Diego, CA; 3 brothers, Antonio Barrientes of Lufkin, Jose Barrenties of Denver City and Jessie Barrientes of Hobbs, NM.
