Maria was born on May 14, 1944 in Rosenberg, Tx to Benito and Dolores Rivera. She moved with her family to Brownfield in 1956. She married Pedro Rodriguez in 1975 in Brownfield. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly in home health for many years. Maria was a member of Templo Betel Church.
She is survived by her husband, Pedro Rodriguez of Brownfield; her daughter, Ignacia Mendez of Brownfield; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Benito Rivera, Jr. of Brownfield and Pablo Garza of Richmond, TX; and 2 sisters, Celia Valdez of Brownfield and Carol Moreno of Brownfield. She is preceded in death by a son, Victor Garcia; 2 daughters, Dolores Galindo and Maria Victoria Garcia; and 2 brothers, Jessie Rivera and Guillermo Rivera.
