Services for Marvin "Wayne" Collins, 76, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Wayne passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at his home in Brownfield. He was born January 18, 1938 in Haskell to Marvin Leonard and Zula "Faye" (Blair) Collins. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Wayne married Mary Jo Kevil on September 4, 1964 in Rule, Texas. They moved to Brownfield in 1970. He was a Field Supervisor at Halliburton for 20 years. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. Those preceding him in death are his parents and grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Waynes grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Jo of Brownfield; 3 children, Jerry Collins and wife Jana of Jena, LA, Carissa Teague and husband Chip of Chandler, AZ. And Dwayne Collins and wife Lisa of Justin, TX; grandchildren, Carlen and Lauri Collins, Keaton Teague, Collin Teague, Melissa Teague, Cory Collins, Michail Bozeman, Elizabeth Bozeman, Christan Pilgrim and Zachary Jackson; a brother, Jerry Collins of Gallup, NM; brother and sisters-in-law, John and Randy Kevil of Clyde and Geraldine Jowers of Alexandria, LA; several nieces and nephews.
